Drive by 4×4 for about 10 miles to the entrance of Salama Canyon. Walk in the canyon for 45 minutes, then head to Dahab City for some free time and lunch. Also, enjoy a camel ride for 30 minutes then head to the top snorkeling spot of the Blue Hole. Private car transfer, lunch and picnic-style dinner are included. You arrive back at your hotel at 7 pm/max. 8 pm.
Mount Sinai (Moses) & St. Catherine Monastery from Taba
Enjoy a trip to St. Catherine’s Monastery at the foot of Mount Sinai. The trek up to the mountain’s (2,285 meters) summit is one of the highlights of the trip. There is a chapel at the top, reached by either following the camel trail or climbing the 3,750 Steps of Repentance. Whichever way you prefer, the final stretch is 750 rocky steps to the top, where you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views, plus the knowledge that you are standing on the spot where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Most visitors climb the mountain before dawn, arriving in time to catch the sight of the sun rising over the desert and the surrounding peaks. This is exactly what we will do too, therefore leaving for the trip at 5:00 am, with the drive to the destination will be approximately 2 – 2,5 hours by bus. The visit of the monastery starts after the ascend at 8:45 until 11:30 am including a Bedouin guide to catch the sunrise, except friday, they will only open from 10:45.To make things less physically demanding, use the camel trail on the way up and the steps on the way down.
Petra Jordan Day Tour from Taba
